Weather-resistant and designed for single-seat air-dominance combat, the F-15C is a fighter jet. From 1979 to 1985, 483 F-15C jets were manufactured; 43 of those aircraft were equipped with AN/APG-63(V)1 radar, an upgrade from AN/APG-70 radar. The F-15 2040C is still a prototype at this point, but it may soon receive an upgrade similar to that received by the South Korean and Israeli variants.
One can carry as many air-to-air weapons as one wants on an F-15C. By using a head-up display that automatically offers visual guidance when the pilot switches from one armament system to another, the automated weapons system enables the pilot to release the weapons safely and effectively. There are a total of four armament systems that the aircraft is capable of mounting.
